Life and Annuity Development Specialist Objective
To instruct, train, and develop those Farm Bureau Insurance agents who have been selected and assigned to a specific training period. To train in all coverages and transactions for all life and annuity products handled by Farm Bureau Insurance, Securian or FB Partners Group written for the client. To develop the selected agents' ability to provide Farm Bureau members with the life and annuity risk management solutions they need; to efficiently write life and annuity lines of business; and to improve in the basic life and annuity metrics of written accounts, written premium, and policy retention for profitable business.
Life and Annuity Development Specialist Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of functional activities intended to increase the production and service efficiency of those agents working in the life insurance and annuity markets, and to motivate and encourage more agents to enter those markets.
Train and educate the agency force focused on our newest agencies and their staff through their third full year in agency operations, from prospect to renewed policyholder, including technical information and sales techniques applicable to the life and annuity markets.
Conduct seminars and workshops at the partnership level, make presentations at Agency Meetings, write sales articles for partnerships and company publications, and assist in the design of sales training programs and materials.
Direct sales assistance to agents by providing prospecting and fact-finding help, fact analysis recommendations, proposal preparation, joint sales calls, and closing and installation of cases.
Have in-depth knowledge and mastery of coverage forms and endorsements, and advanced hazard identification and evaluation for Farm Bureau, Securian and FB Partners products. Share such knowledge with Farm Bureau Insurance agents and answer coverage questions when asked.
Keep insurance and industry knowledge current by participation in advanced educational programs and by studying current publications to keep abreast of recent developments affecting life and annuity sales.
Participate in corporate, division, or department projects when assigned.
Life and Annuity Development Specialist Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, insurance, or finance required, or equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum five years of life and/or annuity sales or underwriting experience with extensive knowledge of the life insurance and annuity marketplace.
Proven ability to train in both one-on-one and in group settings required.
Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
Demonstrated aptitude for building relationships.
Ability to identify agency barriers to success and provide educational and practical solutions.
Life, Accident, and Health licensed.
Note: This is a work from home position primarily covering these Michigan Southeast counties: Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne.
