Systems Engineer (Unified Communications) Objective
To provide technical engineering and support of the Farm Bureau Family of Companies Unified Communications (UC) and Collaboration tools in a Cisco infrastructure. To provide technical guidance, consultation, and problem resolution for all corporate users of these systems. To provide training and mentoring for associate support personnel. To engage in continuous collaboration across multiple Information Technology (IT) groups for project success. To provide architectural guidance, consultation, recommendations, and problem resolution for all UC and Collaboration systems. To provide processing and support for business applications and computer operations, reporting, project delivery and strategic planning services to satisfy requirements for all divisions of the Insurance Companies and affiliated companies as requested.
Systems Engineer (Unified Communications) Responsibilities
Assist in design, implementation, and management of enterprise level Unified Communications environment.
Manage Cisco routers, switches, gateways, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Cisco UCCX, Cisco Unified Presence/Cisco Jabber, Cisco WebEx, Voice Signaling Technologies (especially SIP).
Recommend, test, manage and ensure functionality of Cisco Unified Communications end-points including telepresence devices.
Systems Engineer (Unified Communications) Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science required, or equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum five years’ experience with Cisco Unified Communications and Cisco Voice platforms required.
Experience working with Unity Connection and Unified Contact Center Express/Enterprise required.
Diverse background with Cisco Network, including experience in VMware and Microsoft Windows required.
Experience with TCP/IP required.
Experience in performance monitoring and troubleshooting required.
Knowledge of Enterprise Cisco Network Solutions, Active Directory and Ethernet required.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience, including both end-users and technical personnel.
Ability to mentor and train associate-level personnel and do research and development of products in a timely manner required.
Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education required.
Preferred
Technical certifications in CCNP Voice and CCNA preferred.
