To assist the Print and Digital Design Services Department in the creation of visual content for multichannel marketing and communications initiatives. To prepare artwork for print and electronic presentation as needed using a Mac-based computer and graphic programs, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and more.

· Provide graphic design assistance on projects for Michigan Farm Bureau and its affiliates.

· Develop marketing materials to promote programs, projects and events, including postcards, flyers, banners, print and digital advertisements, social media graphics, etc.

· Maintain consistency and adhere to Farm Bureau branding guidelines as outlined by Michigan Farm Bureau’s Print and Digital Design Services Department.

· Proof all marketing materials (design tweaks, spelling errors, grammatical errors).

· Setup press-ready files for printing and mailing.

· Prioritize assignments, schedule time, and provide communication to project leads and supervisor.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

· Must have prior art/graphic design experience.

· Excellent computer skills, along with proven knowledge and ability to utilize design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are required.

· A functional understanding of design theory and principles is required.

· Must have the ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.

· Must have an excellent attention to detail, be highly organized and process driven.

· Must have the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

· Must be currently enrolled at a college or university and have declared a major course of study with a focus in graphic arts or design.

· Must be able to work approximately 24 hours per week. This position offers some flexibility for remote work.
