Financial Services Specialist Objective
To process various financial transactions to support our billing and policy issuance systems. To address questions and concerns from internal and external customers by providing billing account and personal lines and commercial lines of business policy information. To correspond with insureds, outside collection agencies, debtors, and Farm Bureau Insurance agents, while utilizing professional customer service skills. To train and provide support and assistance to the Associate Financial Services Specialists. To preserve the customer relationship, gather information, and improve the overall service process. To occasionally assist management with projects, as well as represent the department as a subject matter expert.
Financial Services Specialist Responsibilities
Maintain advanced knowledge of billing and all P/C products to process information, including changes, answering questions, and resolving problems. Ensure details of customer requests and complaints are handled accurately and efficiently by providing answers or solutions in a clear and concise manner. Make reasoned decisions quickly and appropriately.
Participate in the completion of agent chargebacks, codification, and NSFs for the financial reconciliation team.
Analyze and process nonnegotiable payments (NSFs) and initiate policy cancellations for the P/C Company. Handle write offs of NSF fees, when appropriate. Work EFT prenotes and complete insured chargebacks.
Financial Services Specialist Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Professional office experience with three to five years of insurance experience preferred.
Computer experience required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Preferred
Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
Designations in AINS, ACS or AIS preferred.
Microsoft Access Preferred.
