OBJECTIVE

Community Engagement Specialist Objective

To use a variety of research methods to analyze, report, and provide recommendations for corporate social responsibility projects and programs and turn it into innovative social mission initiatives and deliverables that will directly impact the Farm Bureau Family of Companies’ For-Purpose objectives.  To facilitate an internal advisory group comprised of representation from Michigan Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau Insurance, and the Agent Charitable Fund as program ambassadors and activators.   To identify and create employee, agent, member, and customer experiences and opportunities that emotionally connect them to our company.  To work with senior leadership and external advisors to define and build metrics to measure the impact of our efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Engagement Specialist Responsibilities

Gather research, data, input, and expertise from internal and external sources to define corporate social responsibility projects and programs and assist in identifying initial geographies and program elements for cause base pilot programs, symptomatic contributions.

 

Serve as the lead staff support for the For-Purpose Task Force comprised of key leaders within the Family of Companies and external partners. Support the social responsibility (For-Purpose) mission with gathering research, input, and expertise and turning it into innovative social mission initiatives and deliverables.

 

Assist with identifying and creating employee, agent, member, and customer For-Purpose experiences and opportunities that emotionally connect them to our company. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Community Engagement Specialist Qualifications


Required

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required, or equivalent experience may be considered.

 

Minimum two years’ experience managing projects required. 

 

Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

 

Willingness to travel as needed and stay overnight when necessary required.
